We would like to inform our customers using the EX600-SEC# serial transmission unit
about some precautions when using the ESI (XML file) configuration file.


3 types of ESI files are available, these can be distinguished as follows:

1.SMC EX600-SECx_V11.xml
  
  ・Please select this version for configuration tools that are not modular.
　　e.g. Sysmac Studio V1.05 and earlier 
　・ESI schema version = 1.5

2.SMC EX600-SECx_V14.xml

　・Please select this version for modular configuration tools.
    e.g. TwinCAT , Sysmac Studio V1.06 onwards
　・ESI schema version = 1.3
　・Default SyncManager watchdog setting = 0ms
　・Default PDI watchdog setting = 0ms

3.SMC EX600-SECx_V15.xml

　・The following two items in SMC EX600-SECx_V14.xml have been changed.
　・Default SyncManager watchdog setting = 200ms
　・Default PDI watchdog setting = 200ms

○ Use of the old configuration file, SMC EX600-SECx_V12.xml and SMC EX600-SECx_V13.xml

Error or warning messages may be displayed depending on the configuration software of each manufacturer. 
If this is the case, please use the new V14 ESI file.
If you are currently using the old ESI file with no problems, it is fine to continue using the old ESI file.
