Dear users of the serial transmission unit, EX250-SDN1,
Please be informed of the handling precautions of the setup file, EDS.


Usage of the new EDS file (ex250_sdn1_44_v16.eds)

1. The following is the newly added parameter function.
   -Set the Quick Connect (valid / invalid) of the "Quick Connect" SI unit.
   If the Quick Connect is not used, there will be no problem in using the old EDS
   file (ex250_sdn1_44_v15.eds).

Usage of the old EDS file (ex250-sdn1_44_v15.eds)

1. This old EDS file is to be used for the SI unit (EX250-SDN1) of the device
   revision 1.002 with the identification mark G on the label.

2. If the old EDS file (ex250-sdn1_44_v15.eds) is used for the old SI units (1.001),
   some configuration software of some manufacturers may give a warning message
   as they do not have the parameter functions.
   In this case, use the old EDS file (ex250.eds).
   Some configuration software may not be able to distinguish the old EDS file
   (ex250.eds) from the old EDS file (ex250_sdn1_44_v15.eds).


Usage of the old EDS file (ex250.eds)

1. The old EDS file is to be used for the SI unit (EX250-SDN1) of the device
   revision 1.001 which does not have the identification mark G on the label.

2. If the old EDS file (ex250.eds) is to be used for the SI unit of the device
   revision 1.002 with the identification mark G on the label, the newly added
   parameter functions can not be set.
   The following four are the newly added parameter functions.
    -"SOLV Status" : Voltage status of the power supply for the valve is referred.
    -"IU Fuse Status" : Blowing status of the fuse of the input unit is referred.
    -"Hold/Clear" : Output operation setting when I/O connection is time-out
     (MOD/NET blinks in red).
    -"H/C (Delete)" : Output operation setting when I/O connection is deleted
     (MOD/NET blinks in green).
  There will be no problem in using the old EDS file (ex250.eds) when these functions
  are not used.
